What do you think about this blog?

We've had this blog up and running now for a few months, since the launch of the redesigned Nikon USA website, and your insights and opinions have already helped us prioritize next steps. Is this blog continuing to be helpful and interesting to you? What would you change about this blog to improve it?

Keep in mind that we started this blog as a way to promote conversation about the redesigned website. Your ideas and feedback have been very valuable thus far, and we want to keep this dialogue going. In what ways could we continue to keep visitors coming back and sharing ideas on the blog?

Keep the questions coming. Everyone likes to think their opinion is valued, and in the format of a blog is makes answering the questions easy and quick. Surveys are overwhelming and too limited, you end up asking questions that don't get at what people are really concerned about. Keeping the questions broad like this make (I can only speak for myself here) me want to give you an opinion. For example: One thing I would love to see on the website is a Nikon Lense search option. I put in the criteria, it comes up with a list of lenses that meet those criteria. Also, how about previews of upcoming equipment? It's always nice to feel like an insider... So how about letting us in on the D400 or D4? Even one feature that is expected on the new cameras? PLEEEEEEEASE!!!!!

How about permanent links to other Nikon websites?

For a blog about Nikon it sure is devoid of photography. It would be nice if every post included a stunning photo.

Still need to have the Mozilla Firefox compatibility be done for all Nikon sites, including and especially the minisites, like the D3's. Keep up the great work, guys! Cheers - {H}

Ground Rules for Your Shot

This blog is a conversation about the NikonUSA.com site redesign and how it can be made better for you. Your feedback on the site is something that we’re taking seriously. We’ll be taking comments you leave and using them as the foundation for future posts. This will help make our collective understanding of the site that much stronger.

The blog is not about Nikon products or the Nikon brand. It's also not about our competitors. So we’ll be reviewing comments to ensure they are within scope, and we’ll do this as quickly as possible. We’ll post the ones that stay on point and incinerate the ones that break the rules. Actually, our accountants say the price of gas for the incinerators is way too expensive right now, so we’ll have put those comments aside for now.

If you have questions about products, services, careers or other company related topics you should visit the Contact Us page of the site for the appropriate contact information.
