Product Info

Apologies for the delayed post but have been traveling and thus off the 'grid' for a week. Now back behind the wheel. There's been some discussion around wanting more info about products directly on the respective product pages. We've tried to consolidate info / links as best we can so let's hear your thoughts and ideas about what specific information you would like to see on the product pages...

More pictures of the products and supplied accessories (add a Supplied Accessories tab instead of just including them in the Accessories tab.)

Product photos that help translate the size of the product would be helpful too. (Place it next to a deck of cards or something else recognizable.)

Have pictures of lenses when fully zoomed.

More consistency. Some products have links to a PDF of the manual, others don't. Make these links direct to the product's manual not the table of them in the knowledge base.

Every lens description should have a note about whether the lens will autofocus on the D40/40x/60 line.

The camera section has improved. However, the lens section of the website is still a very confusing mess. The old list of all lenses was much easier to use. How about a section for just the VR lenses, just DX lenses and just full frame lenses. That would be helpful.

The release date of lens are on the web before but it is not available anymore (maybe I cannot find them).

More different angle photos on accessories. For example, one photo to show there is a tripod mount (screw hole) on the bottom of AS-10.

It would be nice that you guys can include something like I have seen on the Tamron site. it is called lens locator.

Please see the link: http://www.tamron.com/lenses/learning_center/tools/focal-length-comparison.php

It will be cool that Nikon have someting like that on their site.

Thanks,

KP

Ground Rules for Your Shot

This blog is a conversation about the NikonUSA.com site redesign and how it can be made better for you. Your feedback on the site is something that we’re taking seriously. We’ll be taking comments you leave and using them as the foundation for future posts. This will help make our collective understanding of the site that much stronger.

The blog is not about Nikon products or the Nikon brand. It's also not about our competitors. So we’ll be reviewing comments to ensure they are within scope, and we’ll do this as quickly as possible. We’ll post the ones that stay on point and incinerate the ones that break the rules. Actually, our accountants say the price of gas for the incinerators is way too expensive right now, so we’ll have put those comments aside for now.

If you have questions about products, services, careers or other company related topics you should visit the Contact Us page of the site for the appropriate contact information.
